Breakfast At
The iconic Fifth Avenue location of Tiffany, which has been under renovation for four years, opened again to the public. Apparently it is known as “the Landmark”:
Display cases glittered with Tiffany pieces — heart tag bracelets, Elsa Peretti Bone cuffs and Paloma Picasso necklaces. Digital screens encircling the room showed an animation of a diamond-encrusted bird fluttering across the New York City skyline.
It includes a new Daniel Boloud restaurant, and works from artists ranging from Basquiat to Jenny Holzer to Richard Prince.
Meanwhile, there were plenty of fashion industry celebs attending the opening night gala, including Zoe Kravitz, Martha Stewart and Gal Gadot. (What is going on with Pharrell’s chin here.)
We still need to get Noemi’s birth date engraved on the Tiffany bracelet I bought Raquel, as well as buy Noemi some new jewelry of her own. We will need to stop by the new store soon!
Trendlet #1: Socks n Sandals
Not a new new trend per say, but noticed the socks under the fisherman sandals in the Spring 23 campaign from Aime Leon Dore.
And while checking to see if these sandals are available for purchase (they are not), I did enjoy seeing some gardening mules for sale.
Trendlet #2: Bump
Raquel noted how many baby bumps she has been seeing of late - no one is hiding them!
Rihanna had baby #2 on the way:
Tarrytown
We had a family event up in Westchester in the adorable village of Tarrytown yesterday. Raquel caught a cold, so Dad was on solo parenting duty for the hour long car ride and at the Jubilee, celebrating my great Aunt’s 60th anniversary of becoming a nun.
Noemi had a chance to show off her new Alex Mill bag (since sold out!) and was on her best behavior, and made best friends with all of the older ladies at the event. She was the youngest attendee by a few decades, and it was lovely for her to meet more of her family!
And, Tarrytown/Sleepy Hollow is a really nice section of Westchester. It’s right on the river, with views of the new Tappan Zee bridge (which has an amazing bike path). It has access to great parks, beautiful houses, all within an hour of midtown Manhattan.
