Issey Miyake RIP
The fashion world lost a true legend when Issey Miyake passed this past week. His heat-pressed pleats collections (known as Homme Plisse and Pleats Please) have had a really huge run over the past few years, and sell out very quickly from luxury retailers. Copenhagen Fashion Week
The Danish capitol’s August fashion week is secretly the best one in Europe. It’s much less hot, you can go swimming in the canals, and it stays light until 9PM. It’s also smaller and easier to digest than the Paris, London or Milan.

Viral Sunglasses
YZYGAP, Kanye West’s collection for Gap, may have its first hit item. While the puffy jacket got headlines, it never really took off on social media. Contrast to the new sunglasses, which were everywhere this week.
We do have to hand it to West on this one - there aren’t a lot genuinely new sunglass silhouettes popping up every season, but these are different. That said, they do look like they are possible just a thin sheet of plastic? These are probably better worn in the studio, and not in the actual, you know, sun.
