Kanye West
A lot has been going on with Kanye West post-divorce. He released his first item for Gap, and it’s now selling for way above retail on StockX. He was seen wearing it around LA with a bizarre religious face covering:
He was at last week’s couture shows in Paris with a black version of the jacket, and a panther graphic head covering. It all culminated in this hilarious set piece from the front row of the Balenciaga show, with James Harden and Lil Baby staring at Kanye, and Irina Shayk staring blankly into the distance:
We hope Kanye is getting the professional help he needs.
Balenciaga Couture
Balenciaga debuted its first couture collection in 53 years, with creative director Demna Gvasalia getting rave reviews. This was radically different than your typical couture show: bath robes, jeans, faux fur made of silk, and what we’re calling salad bowl hats:
As a bonus - plenty of Men’s looks, something you almost never see for couture. Check out this tuxedo look!
We’re also big fans of the numbering system - it takes one back couture roots, and feels like it was plucked right out of Phantom Thread.
Pyer Moss Couture
Pyer Moss had to postpone his NY show due to the Florida-like rains that have engulfed the tristate area. It was set to be held Thursday in Irvington, NY at the estate of Madam CJ Walker, the nation’s first black female millionaire.
We feel bad for Kerby, but the screen grabs circulating are something:
And of course he handed out joints as a peace offering:
The video from the postponed show is here.
Jean Paul Gaultier
Sacai’s Chitose Abe is helping design and revitalize the couture collection of Jean Paul Gaultier, who has been in semi retirement for the past few years. The results are reindeer meets runway:
Unsurprisingly, there is also talk of a Nike x Sacai x Gaultier VaporWaffle:
Dior Couture
Maria Grazia Chuiri showed her latest Dior Couture collection at the Musée Rodin. The set itself had an enormous and beautiful Eva Jospin embroidered art piece that was produced at the Chanakya School of Craft in India. Jospin’s background here.
Raquel’s top looks:
We may have make Noemi’s first birthday black tie so that Raquel can buy these dresses.

Bloomingdales is going to debut a new retail concept called “Bloomies.”
