Donda
Kanye West is close to releasing his first album since 2019’s Jesus Is King. Named Donda, after his late mother, the album release party was at the Mercedes Benz stadium in Atlanta. During the event, West was wearing an all-red version of his Yeezy Gap puffer, along with a pantyhose (?) over his head:
If you feel like you missed out and want to get some merch from the event, prices are going up quickly on Ebay:
Perhaps unsurprisingly as this is Kanye West we’re dealing with, the album still has not officially hit streaming services yet. It was supposed to hit Friday night at midnight.
This Week In Styling
Artist Alex Katz in a double breasted Bottega suit, plus some New Balances:
Plus Justin Bieber in Balenciaga:
You can probably guess which one we prefer! Excited to start seeing more Fall campaigns out soon.
Shopping Report
With August days away, it’s time to start thinking about Fall. Raquel has had this Loewe denim jacket in her cart for when things start to cool down:
Then there is the FW21 Bottega Veneta footwear buy, now available for pre-order. There is a glitter puddle boot:
As well as some sky high rain boots:
(plus this glitter Women’s version.)
Now all we need is a hobby garden to show off our denim jacket and wellies.
Pablo Rochat
Rochat is an artist/creative director with fashion clients like Nike, Balenciaga and Hermès. We’ve been eating up his visual trend pieces that he posts to his IG account:
There’s just so many good ones! There’s a juvenile humor to his work that we are really loving.
Spend some time checking his work here.
Bezos to Space
There was a little too much media coverage of Jeff Bezos trip to “space,” which was really just the upper atmosphere of the Earth. To it’s credit, the FAA is saying he is not technically an “astronaut.” Not getting enough attention is the bad work he had done on his face:
The internet hive mind seems to think that he got work done with Kim Kardashian’s cosmetic dermatologist Dr. Simon Ourian. With all the attention this week, you think he would have executed better on his makeover.
