JW Anderson just launched its first-ever eyewear collection. Harvard's super-exclusive final clubs have managed to stick to their old-school ways. A$AP Rocky showed off his first fashion collection at Paris Fashion Week, called “American Sabotage.” And Dries Van Noten’s last runway show at Paris Fashion Week was a touching goodbye, celebrating his 38-year career with a collection that combined his unique artistry and fashion skills. More to come on this! :)
WSJ: Millennials Might Hate Cruises—but a Yacht Trip? That’s Another Story.
While millennials usually avoid boring cruises, they do leave a yacht trip, which are way more personal and fancier and just sound better. Unlike crowded and strict cruise ships, yacht trips give a cozy vibe where travelers can choose their adventures and enjoy special perks. Companies are now catering to the millennial demographic by offering yacht charters that focus on unique experiences, like exploring hidden reefs and doing bespoke activities tailored to the individual client. It really seems to come down to branding. Most everyone wants to hop on a yacht, while a cruise feels like a much older customer. But at what point does a large yacht cross over into being a cruise ship?
Vogue Business: Inside the 032c Journey from Fashion Magazine to Paris Runways
032c, the Berlin-based media and fashion brand, finally made it to Paris Fashion Week, marking a huge step from being just a magazine to a cool fashion name. Led by Maria Koch, who has worked with big brands like Jil Sander and Yeezy, 032c has grown a lot with a mix of men's and women's clothes, keeping a 60-40 sales split. With a strong brand and growing presence, especially in places like Japan and South Korea, 032c is set to keep expanding. Their dedication to quality and creative designs has earned them a “very healthy seven-digit” revenue (to us, this translates to $5M), with their ready-to-wear line making up a big part of their business. Quite amazing that the ready-to-wear makes up 68% of their business, when only a few years ago all they had was the print magazine!
The Vogue World 2024: Paris after-party at Maxim’s de Paris was chock full of famous faces, models, athletes, and music stars in town for fashion week. Hosted by former British Vogue EIC Edward Enninful and Gigi Hadid, the party came after an amazing 500-person show at Place Vendôme, celebrating 100 years of French fashion and sports. Stars like Naomi Campbell, who even made live DJ requests, and others like Cara Delevingne, Serena Williams, and Maluma spent the night partying at the legendary Paris bistro. With the challenges print media, and Condé Nast (including Vogue) have been dealing with the past few years, Anna Wintour is really pivoting hard towards live events like this or last month’s Met Gala.
